¡¡¡Jai Jai Jai!!! ¡¡México!!

I spent a glorious 5 days in Puerto Vallarta last July and had a BLAST! It was full of delicious margaritas, lounging on the beach, ATVing, meeting great people and simply relaxation.

Image Next stop was a tequila distillery! Here’s an agave plant – where tequila is from!

Image

The piña (succulent core of the plant) is slowly baked then crushed under a tahona (this stone wheel). The resulting agave juices is then fermented into tequila! Based on the length of time it is fermented, we get Blanco (aged for 2 months or less), Reposado (aged for at least 2 months but not more than 1 year) or Añejo (between 1 and 3 years aged) Tequilas .

Then came the tastings and margaritas! Much appreciated after a long ride!
