Photo Challenge – In the background

I chose this photo for the challenge because we had just accomplished the amazing feat of hiking up to Dead Woman’s Pass, the highest point of the Inka Trail on the “Most Challenging Day” two of the four day hike to Machu Picchu. It was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done, but once we made it up, I cannot explain how amazing we felt. We felt like we were on top of the world! In the background is where we hiked from.
