I am extremely excited to announce that I am going to be volunteering with Give and Surf, a non-profit in Bocas del Toro, Panama which empowers the indigenous community through education and community development.
As there are only one flight in and one flight out per day only four days per week, and the Bocas region is near the border of Costa Rica, I will be flying in and out of San Jose and spending New Year’s Eve and day in San Jose!
In less than a month’s time, I will be in Central America!
Yay, what fantastic news! 🙂 That sounds like a great program, and I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience! How long will you be in Panama?
Yes! I am so excited and have heard great things about Give and Surf! I will be in Panama for about a week and San Jose, Costa Rica for almost two days
Give and Surf is a wonderful organization and I’m sure you will find your experience very rewarding. Give and Surf is a member of a National Geographic Geotourism website. Make sure to check it out for a list of places to stay, things to do, and other great opportunities!
